The lighting is soft and utilises a sail effect which makes visual reference to the sails of yachts and to the curvilinear forms of the hulls which are moored in front of the restaurant.
In keeping with its origins as a boatshed, guests can tie up their boats right outside the front of the restaurant and when the tide is high you can see schools of fish swimming by or a family of wild ducks through full length plate glass windows.
